Hey y’all! My name is Molly Langella and I am a freshman in PC ‘18! Last week I got to participate in my first FYSAM function and it truly highlighted the quirky, outgoing, and strong community of our Delta sisterhood. FYSAM stands for “Find Your Sister a Mister,” our unique way of setting up all of our fellow Tri Deltas on blind dates for an evening filled with good music, great pizza, and lots of dancing!

The thing that I loved most about FYSAM was being able to spend the night with my fellow sisters, but also getting to meet your “surprise” date for the evening right before the function. FYSAM is definitely supposed to be done in secret, buttttt most of us are pretty bad liars so I found out who my date was. Despite that fact, something that is so cool about this function is watching your friends get so excited for you and being able to see how well your friends know you. Because this function is one of our last events of the year, it was incredibly cool to see how much closer we have all gotten since the beginning of the year. From taking pictures with complete strangers on bid day to dying laughing with each other at FYSAM, it has been such an amazing year filled with new beginnings and the most special friendships.

FYSAM truly has been my favorite function of the year because instead of trying to search for a last minute date or stressing over who you should take, you get to just enjoy the fact that your sisters and best friends are in control. Clemson Tri Delta has brought me the most genuine friendships, and being able to spend that beautiful spring night with them was just such a fun way to begin a sad close the semester. FYSAM, you will be missed dearly, but all the Delta love for my girls because sisters before misters always! ;)
