Nine months out of the year I get to spend nearly every waking moment with my best friends. In high school, summer was always something I looked forward to, being able to escape school and most of my worries for a few months. After freshman year I was dreading the three months where I would have to separate from the people who had now become my family in Tri Delta. Little did I know that summer would be full of road trips to see all of my best friends at the beach or wherever we last minute decided to spend the weekend. August came sooner than I could have ever imagined with a fun filled summer in the books.

Now another nine months have passed and a whole new summer of adventures awaits my best friends and I, but this time it’s a half a world away. At the end of June, I am lucky enough to get to travel to Austria with one of my best friends Marlene, and it can’t come soon enough! Just when you think a summer in Europe with your best friend won’t get any better, it turns out you have a place to stay with another best friend in any city you could imagine. There’s Val in Barcelona, Nancy Welch, Kennedy, O’Neil and Caroline in Florence, Lottie in Dublin, Maggie in Cyprus, Kellen in Berlin, and Hannah coming to visit us in Austria for a week. Safe to say spring semester was full of planning about when we would see each other, what we would do, and where we would be able to meet up. I’ll always be thankful that Tri Delta gave me the best group of travel buddies I could have ever asked for. See y’all across the pond!!
