Hi everybody! My name is Bess Golkin and I am currently a sophomore from Arlington, VA. I decided to go through the recruitment process as a sophomore so that I could focus on adjusting to college freshman year, and this is when I met Lily. We decided early on to become roommates for our sophomore year and over the summer I was talking to her about how I wanted to rush. She initially wasn’t sure about it but she decided to register for recruitment.

To avoid swaying each other, we agreed not to tell each other our thoughts during the week of recruitment. I remember driving over to open our bids and both being full of nerves about what the other would do. When I opened the bid from Tri Delta I was overwhelmed with excitement because Lily had also received the same bid. I’m so happy to have such a great friend that I could experience so many firsts with and I can’t wait for more to come!!

Hey everyone!!!! My name is Lily Ferrante and I’m a sophomore from Long Island, New York. I met Bess my freshman year (we lived in the same dorm) and she quickly became one of my best friends! Summer before sophomore year we would talk about rush all the time, but I was still unsure if it was something I wanted to do. I had met so many girls who went through the recruitment process the year before and they would tell me how it introduced them to so many people, so I decided I would give it a chance.

And I could not be happier with where I ended up! I can still remember what it felt like to walk into Tri Delta on preference day and I knew I felt at home. The girls in Tri Delta are not only some of the most genuine people I’ve ever met, but they’re also not afraid to be themselves and at the same time support one another. I am so grateful to have had all these wonderful experiences with Tri Delt and especially be able to do it with one of my best friends!
