Why Tri Delta #18

Written by: Stewart Buxton, Rising Sophomore

I always wanted to go to a big University that had a lot to offer and it did not take any time for me to decide I wanted to go to Clemson. I was so excited and also a little nervous because everyone says college is the “best four years of your life” and how “you meet your forever people." Looking back on freshman year, I would 100% say those things are true and for me it all started with recruitment.

Going through recruitment was one of my favorite things about freshman year. I loved getting to talk to different girls in all of the sororities and I didn't know how I would find my best fit. However, that all changed the second I walked into Tri Delta. Going in there, I felt like I could be me and that everyone around me was different but we all kinda just meshed perfectly. I loved it from round one and I never looked back- I never wanted to leave!!  Luckily for me, I get to call Tri Delta a piece of home, and I would not have it any other way. The best part of Tri Delta has been the friendships it has brought me.

From bid day, to semi, to all the game days in between, I really did find my forever people (and you will too!!)

In Tri Delta you will find-

Your Taylor: the girl who manages your life when you just can’t.

Your Alex: aka roomie and safe place.

Your Ashlea and Audrey: the best advice givers known to man.

Your Hanna and Kathleen: the girls who prank you and make you laugh 24/7.

Your Emma: the workout buddy you always needed and your fitness Inspo.

Your Lindsay: the kindest soul in the world.

Your Foster:  a true style icon.

You will also find the best friend group that contain too many to name.

Not only did Tri Delta provide me with girls that I can't go a day without, it provided me with friendships that I know will last forever. In Tri Delta I have found my people and my closest friends. We have laughed, cried, traveled, and lived together and I could not imagine Clemson without them. There are a million + one reasons why I love Tri Delta, but the number one reason is because it gave me the friends I will continue to grow and enjoy college with. Freshman year was truly one for the books, and the only way I came to peace with it having to end was knowing all the fun ahead. I am forever thankful for Tri Delta and the home away from home it has become for me. It is truly such a special group of girls and I have never felt more apart of something that pushes girls to become the best they can be. I am counting down the days until find my friends finally shows me and my people in the same place again—— sophomore year we’re coming for you!!!
