Why Tri Delta #19

Hannah Brown (PC ‘16) tells us #WhyTriDelta was the most comfortable place for her throughout recruitment!

Three years ago, I went through round after round of sorority recruitment. As I entered each new party I could never quite shake the feeling that overcame me when I was in Tri Delta. Every girl I talked to and every conversation I had made me feel special; like I was wanted. After days of this feeling not going away, I realized Tri Delta was the place for me. Three years ago I chose Tri Delta, and it was the best decision I could have possibly made.

The girls I have met through this sisterhood have changed me, and my life, in ways that I could have never imagined. I am from a small town in South Carolina and graduated from an even smaller high school. To say I was a bit timid and nervous about coming to Clemson is a vast understatement, and the thought of going through recruitment honestly scared me. I was anxious that I would not find a sorority where I truly “fit in”. However, I was pleasantly surprised. From the very first day of recruitment when I walked into Tri Delta I felt a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. Every fear, every worry, every bad thought going through my head immediately disappeared. I felt at home. I felt like the girls in that room wanted to know me for me, and they never expected, or wanted, me to change a single thing about myself. The feelings I felt in Tri Delta three years ago are the same feelings I feel today. My sisters push me to be my best self, they support me in all of my endeavors, they are there when I need a shoulder to cry on, they make me laugh, they make me smile, and they are my very best friends.

Whether it’s our Bachelor and chocolate chip cookie Monday nights, the countless debutante parties, the travels to watch our tigers play (& go undefeated!!!), or flying across the world just to visit each other, all of these memories we have made I will always cherish. Since our days in Manning, a lot has changed, but the one thing that has always tied us together and made our friendships continue to grow is Tri Delta. Tri Delta has given me my best friends and for that I am forever grateful.

Looking back on my past three years at Clemson, I could not imagine a single thing without my Tri Delta sisters. Tri Delta has given me lifelong friends, endless opportunities, and memories that will last a life time and I would not change a single thing. There is no other group of girls I could imagine taking on this last year at Clemson with (cue the tears L) and I cannot wait to see what each of our future’s hold!

GO TIGERS & GO TRIDELTA!
